I big can (1 lb 13 oz/29 oz) chickpeas 1/2 cup lemon juice 1 cup olive oil 4 big cloves garlic, finely chopped salt Drain and rinse chickpeas and divide them in three equal portions (1/2 cup each). Pour 1/3 of lemon juice, olive oil, and garlic into blender, put on lid and puree. Then add 1/3 of the chickpeas a few at a time, blending until texture is correct. Pour into a bowl and repeat with other two portions. Stir in salt to taste and refrigerate several hours or overnight.
