This gathering was much smaller than the last one. The chosen tome was the Tome of Balthazar, and those present were Pallas, Telmacha, Topaz, and the initiate Wenulu. As before, we began by touching on the information in the book but soon diverged to stories about our experiences of Balthazar. (It developed that only Pallas and Topaz had actually encountered him face to face.)
It was noted that there are standing orders which go back to the god Ben that adventurers are not to attempt to engage Balthazar in combat, and it is usually suggested that he be ignored when he speaks to adventurers since he is a known liar. We all agreed that displays of bravery and loyalty are among the best ways to thwart him.
